Register for the 2014 Summer Program!

Winter is still going strong, but the 2014 Summer Program at Muckykids Art Studio is now open for registration! Our popular program of intensive workshops returns with some exciting new offerings like Art and Nature week, and an expanded age range. We will again offer two separate sections of our summer workshops: a 9:00 a.m. to noon section for 7 – 10 year olds, and a 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm section for 5 – 6 year olds.

The Summer Program is a drop-off program that offers kids a unique opportunity to indulge, explore, and expand their love of art and craft. For three mornings or afternoons a week over 5 summer weeks in July and August, kids can participate in intensive, hands-on art workshops diving into a variety of weekly themes.

• Art and Nature (July 7 – 9): leaf printing, nature wands, terrariums, paper flowers…
• Papier Mache and Tape Sculpture (July 14 – 16): unconventional (and messy!) sculpture…
• Paper and Print (July 21 – 23): create a printing plate and print on diverse materials…
• Jewelry and Fiber Arts (July 28 – 30): jewelry techniques with yarn, fabric, ribbon, felt…
• Bookmaking (Aug 4 – 6): cloth books, collaged/re-purposed books, sewn bindings…

Come join a small group 3 mornings or afternoon a week in July and August, stay cool and create unique art and craft.
