Week 1: Paper Craft (June 27 – July 1)

Paper, as an artistic medium, can be very exciting. In this offering we will sculpt with it, stitch it, make books, collage with it, and dye it. We’ll make pop-up books and dynamic “animation” cards with moving paper parts. Our dyed papers will turn into translucent window art. Other activities will include origami, crafting paper jewelry, making artist trading cards, and creating colorful paper popsicles. Our collaborative construction this week will be building an ice cream shop.
