Sculpture (Ages 6-8) – 2 hrs x 6 weeks
Over the course of this dynamic 6 weeks, we will focus on various forms of sculpture, building techniques, and manipulating 2D materials into 3D objects. We will look at additive and reductive forms of sculpture and play with kinetic vs. static sculpture. Some of the materials we will sculpt with are wood, spray-painted papers, rocks, air-dry clay, flanged cardboard, paper, and upcycled supplies. Our projects will take inspiration from past and contemporary sculptors such as Alexander Calder, Pablo Picasso, Andy Goldsworthy and Tara Donovan.
