Fiber Arts (Ages 9-11) – 2 hrs x 6 weeks
The world of fiber arts has a richness and depth that can take years to explore! We will start the semester by viewing fabric, yarn and thread under a microscope to see how it’s made. From there we will dye, print onto & marble fabrics that will be used throughout the semester. We will learn how to ‘dress’ & weave on a wood frame loom, create colorful fusible fabric garlands, and craft felt pouches with zippers! We will also embroider into paper, make yarn pompoms, and craft beautiful felt flowers. Enrollment limited to 7.
