Art and Science for 8-10s: Section 1 (Winter 2020)

Thursdays at 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
01/09/2020 - 03/19/2020

Art and Science (Ages 8-10) – 1 hr 30 min x 10 weeks
In this more advanced class for 8 – 10 year-olds, we will have a blast thinking and acting like the creative scientists that we already are! We will wonder why the physical world behaves as it does. In doing so, explorations and experiments with gravity, force and motion, friction, optics, electricity, density, and states of matter will be a part of this class. Some of the many activities will include: playing with substances that absorb, dissolve, melt, and/or evaporate, sculpting with gravity as a pulling force, pendulum painting, catching and bending light, and building simple circuits. Enrollment limited to 8 per section.
