Drop-In Studio activities for March 23 – 25

Drop-In Studio Activities for March 23 – 25: In celebration of spring we are making sun catchers! Using translucent tissue papers, as well as reflective and transparent papers, we are playing with overlapping the papers and mixing colors. Hang in a window for the full effect! We’re also crafting nature wands. Wrapping sticks with yarn, colorful tapes, and special feathers and wires. At the paint table we have neon pastels with liquid watercolors for bright wax resist paintings. Another activity this week is a collage activity with paper scraps and magazines to cut from. At the sensory table we are playing with play dough and sea creatures. The front side bench has mail making. The back bench has a color sorting activity. At the easel we are painting with tempera paints.
