Drop-In Studio Activities for April 5 – 7

Drop-In Activities for April 5 – 7: This week we are upcycling in 2D and 3D. In 2D we have loads of interesting paper scraps to collage with. The scraps have cool lines that, when connected, make fun negative-space shapes. Accentuate your paper collage with markers. In 3D we are building a marble run with paper tubes, narrow boxes and lots of colorful tape. We are using cool sticker scraps to make magic wands and sculptures with craft sticks and magical embellishments. Watercolor palettes are out for a soothing painting experience. For a more dynamic painting experience we have cars and trains on the paint table. Spring-themed stamps are at the easel wall with paint. On the back bench we are making temporary rock sculptures inspired by Andy Goldsworthy. The front bench has hinged mirrors for playing with radial symmetry. The sensory table has slime and woodland animal figures to play with.
