Drop-In activities for October 10 – 12

Drop-In Studio activities for October 10 – 12: This week we’re crafting with nature (again:). Draw on pressed leaves with metallic Sharpies, coat with modpodge and you’re on your way to creating a beautiful Fall mobile (once dry, hang leaves from a stick). Choose a rock and turn it into a story stone. Using papers, fabrics, sequins, and more the rocks can be embellished with color and imagery. We have a few sensory activities: playing with play dough, color mixing with colored gel and polymer balls, and exploring sensory balloons. At the front tables we are making owls and other furry creatures… make a puppet, a mask, or a figure! At the easel you can paint with erasers and sponges. In the back corner we have a mail-making station. Our sticky wall is back up with transparent, colored shapes. Overlap them for more color mixing.
