Drop-In Studio activities for March 20 – 22: Yay! Spring!! Celebrate by making a sun catcher. Using modpodge and translucent tissue papers, layer colors to create new ones. When hung by a window the light reveals the magic. A tree is ‘growing’ in the collaborative construction corner and we need lots of leaves… cut and decorate leaves that will help our tree turn green! Bubble printing is at the paint table and printing with stamps is at the easel. Oobleck (cornstarch and water) will be at the sensory table. We’re sculpting with slices of paper towel tubes. Fasten the pieces with tape or wire. We have a sticky table set up, which is a great sensory experience, plus a neat way to organize recycled objects and observe what emerges. Cornstarch builders will be set up, too.
