Drop-In Studio activities for August 6 – 8: This week we are decorating paper pets. Similar to our paperdoll activity, embellish the animals with glittery stickers, decorative papers, feathers, yarn, colored pencils and markers. After your pet is brought to life, you can also make a pet bed! Using cozy fabrics, colored tape, cotton balls and more make a special place for your pet to rest. At the paint table we are coloring paper with bleeding tissue paper – a super cool way to mix colors, too. At the front tables we are building hanging sculptures and crafting jewelry – all with the same supplies: craft foam, straws, beads, plastic mesh pieces, wires, string, tile samples, and other interesting supplies. Playdough and dinosaurs are at the sensory table. Large brushes at the easel. And mirror drawings on the side bench.
