Studio remains closed (updated 6/26)

June 26, 2020

Hello Muckykids Community,

For the duration of the summer, the studio will remain closed to drop-in customers. The summer program will be operating at a reduced capacity and will need the entire space to keep students healthy and socially distanced. How to navigate a full reopening, with both classes and drop-in available is a work in progress, dependent on recommendations from the CDC and EEC guidelines. I am fairly confident that, in the Fall, I will be able to offer classes throughout the day and possibly drop-in studio as a ticketed event. The website will be updated as any changes take place. Depending on how the public schools will be structuring the school day, I hope to offer supplemental classes, giving kids a happy and hands-on creative outlet. :)

We hope all of you are healthy and staying sane. It’s unfortunate that our space couldn’t stay open to provide an outlet. In our spring semester Zoom classes we created with “what we have”. It’s a refreshing challenge and a good reminder that, with a creative twist, art supplies are always close at hand… in the recycle bin, office supplies you might have in your desk, big boxes, little boxes, garden twine, old hardware and wire, food coloring, nature collected from outdoors, and anything else that inspires!

Take good care,
Liz
